Sunlight streams through our famous stained-glass dome, casting rainbow patterns across the polished floor where countless couples have shared their first dance. We've been hosting celebrations at The Sun Pavilion since the 1930s, and after our 1998 restoration, the Art Deco details shine even brighter than when our grandparents might have waltzed here. Our main hall welcomes up to 150 guests for seated events, with original curved walls and that spectacular glass ceiling creating an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else in Harrogate. The wisteria that drapes our colonnade has been growing for decades, and when it blooms, guests can't resist stepping out onto the covered terrace for photos with Valley Gardens spreading out behind them. We're licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can say your vows right under the dome or outside on our terrace when Yorkshire's weather cooperates. Our catering team works from the same kitchen that's been serving celebrations since the pavilion opened, though now we create bespoke menus that match whatever you're dreaming of - from afternoon tea receptions to five-course dinners. The building tells its own story through the geometric patterns in the windows, the original terrazzo floors, and the restored plasterwork that frames every celebration.
