About York House Hotel
Right on Eastbourne's seafront, we've been welcoming guests to York House Hotel since 1896. The sea is literally 20 yards from our front door, and you can walk to the pier and town centre in minutes. We're perfectly positioned for both business meetings and celebrations, with the stunning 3-mile promenade stretching out before us. For meetings and conferences, our Williamson Room accommodates up to 80 people comfortably. We often host corporate events here, with plenty of natural light and space for presentations. The Osbourne and York Rooms work brilliantly for smaller gatherings of up to 20 guests each - we've seen everything from board meetings to intimate wedding ceremonies in these spaces. During breaks, delegates often head out to our open-air sun verandah or take a quick dip in our indoor heated pool. Our rooms range from compact small doubles to the deluxe four-poster suites that look straight out over the sea. We also have serviced apartments if you're planning an extended stay. The Verandah Restaurant & Bar is where we serve modern British dishes using ingredients from local suppliers - it's become quite popular for post-meeting dinners and celebration meals. The restaurant opens onto that verandah I mentioned, which catches the afternoon sun beautifully. We're set up to handle various events beyond meetings - weddings, birthday parties, and corporate functions all work well in our spaces. The Victorian architecture gives everything a sense of occasion, while we've added modern touches where they matter. Dogs are welcome too, so you'll often spot a few four-legged guests around the hotel. Whether you're organizing a conference for 80 or planning a small celebration, we have the space and experience to make it work.
