  • Try to work out how many people you expect to attend your conference. Do you think there will be a large group of reporters and journalists present? If so, you should think about parking options and other forms of transportation.


  • The larger the crowd, the better the PA system and microphone set-up will have to be to make your announcements audible for the assembled crowd. If there's likely to be a Q&A session during the event, then you may need a portable mic to pass about the room.


  • When it comes to the conference itself, make sure that there is room at the front for recorders, dictaphones and microphones. Make sure your conference table is big enough for all those who are speaking and make sure there are enough microphones to go around.


  • Be sure to sound check all the microphones before the event starts.
