From the moment your guests arrive in Hopton Wafers village, they'll discover a venue where centuries of hospitality meet contemporary comfort, all set against the rolling Shropshire countryside. Your celebration unfolds across our historic Rent Room and Poachers Bar, each space offering its own character while flowing naturally together. Large windows flood both areas with daylight, framing views of the village and fields beyond. We've kept the original wooden tables and chairs with their plaid upholstery, creating that authentic country inn atmosphere whilst ensuring modern comfort. The neutral walls showcase local artwork, adding warmth without overwhelming the natural charm of exposed beams and stone features. The flexibility of having the entire inn means you can craft your event exactly as you envision it. Many couples use the Rent Room for their wedding breakfast, then open up the Poachers Bar for evening festivities. Corporate groups often reverse this, starting with welcome drinks in the bar before moving through for presentations or formal dining. Our built-in PA system throughout means your chosen DJ or band can set up wherever works best, and with no noise restrictions, celebrations can continue as long as you wish.
