The circular table in Wan Shou tells its own story, with fourteen guests gathered around the polished wood surface, passing steamed dumplings and crispy spring rolls via the central Lazy Susan that keeps conversation flowing as smoothly as the dishes. We designed this private dining room on our mezzanine level to capture the essence of traditional Chinese banquet dining, where the round table ensures no head of the table, just equals sharing a meal. Dark wood paneling frames the space, while soft lighting catches the subtle green tones of our carefully chosen chairs, creating an atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate. From up here, you catch glimpses of the original bank vault architecture below, those soaring columns and restored ceiling details that make our venue so distinctive. The audio-visual equipment hides away behind panels when you're focused on the food, but slides out effortlessly when presentations are part of your gathering. Our kitchen team brings the same precision to private dining as they do to our main restaurant. The signature roasted duck arrives with the same tableside ceremony, carved and wrapped in delicate pancakes while your guests watch. Dim sum service becomes interactive as bamboo steamers circle the table, revealing har gow and siu mai crafted that morning. The wine list includes selections specifically chosen to complement Cantonese flavors, while our bar team can create bespoke cocktails using lychee, yuzu, and other Asian ingredients. Business lunches tend to linger longer than planned here, especially when discussing deals over perfectly steamed sea bass. Family celebrations take on special meaning as multiple generations share dishes, the Lazy Susan ensuring grandmother's favorite dumplings reach her just as easily as they reach the youngest at the table. The room's location at 9 Waterloo Place puts you right in St. James's, with Green Park and Piccadilly Circus stations nearby for easy access.
