The morning mist drifting across Lake Windermere sets the scene for celebrations at Silverholme Manor, where this 1820 Georgian estate opens its doors for exclusive use. We've preserved every inch of period character during our 2013 restoration, from the original proportions of our dining and drawing rooms to the stone exterior of our Coach House, while adding the practical touches that make modern events run smoothly. Our main house accommodates 18 overnight guests in nine en-suite bedrooms, each waking to views of either the lake or our ancient woodlands. For larger celebrations, we can arrange accommodation for up to 200 guests using 37 additional properties across the Graythwaite Estate's 5,000 acres. The professional-standard kitchen welcomes your chosen caterers with everything they need, while our Sonos sound system lets you create the perfect atmosphere throughout the manor. The Coach House transforms beautifully for ceremonies, licensed for 100 guests for civil ceremonies or 150 for humanist celebrations. Take your vows outdoors with space for 200 guests, perhaps beside the lake or within our woodland glades. Our marquee accommodates banquets for 200, dressed in white drapery with your chosen florals, while the outdoor dining terrace overlooking the water comes complete with firepit and BBQ for those long summer evenings. Between festivities, your guests might take to the lake for watersports, explore our private tracks in 4x4s, or try clay pigeon shooting across the estate. The heated indoor pool offers a peaceful morning swim, while our TV snug with Netflix provides a cozy retreat. Located near Ulverston with good transport links and ample parking, we offer complete privacy across 1,000 hectares of woodland, creating endless possibilities for your celebration throughout the seasons.
