When you book our Whole Venue, you get the entire Beaconside estate for your celebration, from the Victorian manor house to the woodland cabins scattered across 25 acres of North Devon countryside. The Beacon barn forms the heart of most parties, its original oak beams stretching overhead while chandeliers and fairy lights create that perfect glow as evening falls. We've watched countless first dances on these floors, with up to 200 guests raising glasses beneath the vaulted ceiling, or 150 sitting down for dinner at round tables dressed in white linen. The Glass House works brilliantly for ceremonies, its floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Devon hills while your guests watch from elegant Chiavari chairs. Many couples prefer saying their vows at the Sundial spot, where the countryside rolls away in every direction, or in our Victorian Walled Garden where climbing roses provide the backdrop. Weather rarely spoils plans here, we simply move between our indoor and outdoor spaces as needed. Beyond the party spaces, your guests can spread across the manor house with its grand staircase and drawing rooms, four stone cottages dotted around the grounds, and nine timber cabins tucked into the woods. Together we can sleep up to 75 people on site, though many groups bring more and use local B&Bs nearby. Morning after celebrations often start with a dip in either pool (one's outdoors, one's in the converted stables), or a soak in the hot tub overlooking the valley. The A388 from Bideford brings you here in 15 minutes, following the River Torridge valley to our gates. We provide the spaces and you bring everything else, choosing your own caterers, bar service, musicians and decorators to create exactly the celebration you're imagining.
