At Scott Hall Mills, our Studio Hire occupies the entire top floor of this historic textile mill, where original features blend with contemporary creative touches courtesy of Lord Whitney's distinctive design. Five minutes from Leeds city centre, the space combines industrial heritage with artistic flair, creating an atmosphere that sparks imagination the moment you step off the lift. Our welcoming lounge greets you with worn leather sofas beneath a vintage bulb-lit "HELLO" sign, while plants cascade from corners and shelves throughout the space. The 5-metre photography cove anchors the studio, its pristine curves serving as backdrop for fashion shoots, product photography, and film productions. We keep a collection of coloured backdrops ready to transform the cove instantly, from vibrant reds to moody blacks. The open floor plan accommodates 80 standing guests or 40 seated, with exposed brick walls and industrial windows drawing natural light across the original timber floors. Our mezzanine level, affectionately known as the treehouse, offers elevated views across the studio floor, complete with wooden beams that create an intimate retreat within the larger space. Our kitchen goes beyond basic catering facilities, with full equipment for food preparation whether you're hosting a product launch, planning refreshments for an acoustic performance, or setting up a cocktail station. The studio's collection of props, from vintage furniture to contemporary art pieces, stands ready to dress your event however you envision it. We've installed professional sound systems and projectors to support presentations, screenings, and live performances.
