Photography backdrops, film lights, and the buzz of creative projects fill our converted textile mill every day at Scott Hall Mills. We're five minutes from Leeds city centre, but stepping through our doors feels like entering a completely different world where industrial heritage meets modern creativity. Our Level 3 studio has become the heart of countless productions, with its 5-meter photography cove drawing everyone from fashion photographers to documentary filmmakers. The space transforms depending on who's using it - one day it's a pristine white backdrop for product shoots, the next it's dressed as a period drama set. The mezzanine level houses our treehouse studio, which yes, actually feels like being in a treehouse, complete with wooden beams and elevated views across the mill. We've kept all the original mill features - exposed brick, timber floors, industrial windows that flood the space with natural light. The kitchen isn't just for making tea (though we do plenty of that); it's been the setting for cooking shows, catering prep for launch parties, and informal networking over coffee. Our collection of props ranges from vintage furniture to contemporary art pieces, all available to transform the space however you need. The studio accommodates 40 people seated comfortably or 80 standing for livelier gatherings. We've hosted everything from intimate acoustic sessions to full-scale product launches, live podcast recordings to experimental theatre performances. The projector and sound system support film screenings and presentations, while our Wi-Fi handles the demands of live streaming events. What makes Scott Hall Mills special is how each event adds to the building's story. Former mill workers would barely recognize the space now, filled with artists, entrepreneurs, and creative teams bringing their visions to life in these historic walls.
