Down the stairs from the main pub, you'll find our Basement Bar, where exposed brick walls meet polished wooden floors in a space that feels both intimate and energetic. We've hosted everything from 30th birthday parties that lasted until 3am to corporate Christmas gatherings where colleagues finally let their hair down on the dance floor. The room holds 80 standing guests comfortably, or we can arrange seating for 54 if you prefer a sit-down celebration. Our cocktail bar runs the length of one wall, fully stocked with draught beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, so your guests never have to venture upstairs for refills. The bartender knows exactly when to suggest switching from prosecco to espresso martinis to keep the energy flowing. What really sets this space apart is the proper DJ booth overlooking a wooden dance floor that's seen countless celebrations. We've had DJs spinning everything from 90s classics to current chart-toppers, and yes, we've witnessed some spectacular dance-offs at engagement parties. The leather seating areas and high poser tables give your less dance-inclined guests somewhere to catch up between songs. Being just minutes from Farringdon Station means your guests can easily find us, and more importantly, easily get home after a night of celebration. The air conditioning keeps things comfortable even when the dance floor is packed, and having private toilets downstairs means no queuing with the regular pub crowd. Our late license on Fridays and Saturdays means your party can continue until 3am, long after other venues have called last orders. Whether you're planning a milestone birthday, a leaving do that colleagues will actually remember, or just want to gather your favourite people for a proper party, the Basement Bar gives you everything you need for a celebration that feels special without being stuffy.
