Walking into the Quayside Room on our third floor feels like stepping into a piece of London's trading past. Those exposed brick walls have watched over West India Quay for centuries, and today they frame your meetings with a backdrop that sparks conversation before anyone's even opened their laptop. The Georgian warehouse architecture does the heavy lifting here, with original timber beams stretching across high ceilings and those distinctive arched windows pulling your gaze out to Canary Wharf's glass towers. It's quite something watching the financial district bustle while you're surrounded by maritime history. The natural light transforms throughout the day, especially impressive during morning sessions when it catches the old brickwork just right. We've kept the wooden floors that creak slightly underfoot, adding to the authentic warehouse feel. For presentations, our data projector and screen integrate seamlessly into the space without disrupting its character. The room adapts well whether you're arranging 50 chairs theatre-style for a conference or setting round tables for a more intimate workshop format. Reception-style gatherings work particularly well here, with space for 70 people to move between the historical photographs lining the walls. Our venue sits practically on top of the DLR, with both Westferry and West India Quay stations just minutes away. During breaks, the museum galleries are right there for exploration, offering a refreshing alternative to the usual conference centre corridors. Previous guests have particularly appreciated how the historical setting shifts the energy of their meetings, though we should mention the room can warm up on sunny days despite the windows and air conditioning, so lighter clothing is advisable during summer months. The contrast between the raw industrial heritage and the polished business district visible through those windows creates an atmosphere you won't find in standard meeting rooms.
