Our 230-year-old Inn sits in the heart of Farnham Royal village, right on the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire border near Burnham Beeches National Nature Reserve. We've carefully restored this historic building while keeping its original character—think exposed beams meeting contemporary comfort, and crackling fires that warm both the bar and dining spaces during colder months. At Chris Wheeler at The Crown Inn, we're particularly proud of our versatile spaces for celebrations. The Garden Room works beautifully for private parties of up to 50 guests, while The Barn creates an intimate setting for groups of 24. During warmer months, our two-acre garden transforms into something special—we can set up our stretch tent to accommodate 200 guests, making it perfect for summer weddings or large birthday celebrations. For indoor events, our function room holds up to 120 people comfortably. Chef Patron Chris Wheeler, who earned Hotel Chef of the Year recognition in 2016, leads our kitchen with over three decades of experience. He and his team create seasonal British menus using carefully sourced ingredients—whether that's perfectly roasted meats for Sunday lunch or delicate canapés for cocktail parties. We've found that great food really does bring people together, and Chris's cooking has become central to every celebration here. Beyond our event spaces, we offer two well-appointed bedrooms for guests who'd like to stay overnight, and our bar welcomes four-legged friends too. With ample parking on-site, getting here is straightforward, and once you arrive, we handle everything from initial planning through to the last toast of the evening. We've hosted everything from golden anniversary parties to corporate away days, and each event brings its own energy to these historic walls.
