We've spent years carefully restoring this historic cob and lime building under English Heritage guidance, keeping its character while making it perfect for modern parties and events. The barn connects to our Glass Link and Rustic Lean-To, giving you three distinct spaces that flow together or work independently—whatever suits your gathering. We're licensed for civil ceremonies too, so you can say your vows in our naturalistic walled garden or inside the barn itself. The south-facing sun terrace catches the afternoon light beautifully, with views straight down the valley to the river Yeo below. What makes hosting here special is our 48-hour exclusive hire. You get the whole place to yourselves from the day before your event through to the morning after. Our on-site accommodation means your guests can properly settle in—we have the Long Barn with its contemporary interiors, plus yurts dotted through the grounds and a cozy shepherd's hut tucked away for those wanting something different. We heat the buildings with our biomass wood chip boiler and run solar panels across the property. It matters to us that we're looking after this place properly for the future. The barn's simple interior works like a blank canvas—we've seen it transformed in countless ways over the years, from wild garden parties to elegant evening receptions. Sixteen miles from Exeter, between Exmoor and Dartmoor, we're easy to find but feel wonderfully remote once you're here. The woodlands, gardens, and that valley view create natural backdrops throughout the grounds.
