When the sun hits Royal Exchange Square, our Roof Garden becomes Glasgow's favorite party spot—heated, covered, and filled with plants that somehow survive even the wildest Friday nights. We're KONG, and we've turned 23 Royal Exchange Square into three distinct party spaces that transform as the night progresses. Our main bar fills up early with after-work crowds drawn to the pan-Asian menu and our bartenders' latest cocktail experiments. We source ingredients locally when possible, though our small-batch spirits collection comes from much further afield. The booths here work perfectly for birthday dinners before things get properly festive later on. Behind an unassuming door past the main bar, The Salon reveals itself—all marble bars and silk drapes, where up to 60 guests can throw private parties with their own dedicated bar service. Corporate teams book this space for networking events that actually feel fun, while fashion brands use the plush seating and moody lighting for intimate product launches. The real transformation happens when Club KONG opens its doors. Our custom lighting system syncs with whatever the resident DJs are spinning that night, and the private terrace gives groups a breather from the dancefloor action. We keep the music going until 3am, hosting up to 200 people for everything from milestone birthdays to company celebrations that employees actually want to attend. The Box, our smallest space, works brilliantly for groups of 20 who want Christian Lacroix wallpaper as their backdrop while toasting with craft beers or working through our world wine list. Each space connects naturally to the others, so larger events can flow between areas as the night evolves from dinner to drinks to dancing.

Kong was a great venue for our office Christmas party in Glasgow. The venue was great and the staff couldn’t have done enough for us. Huge thanks also to Karolina at Zipcube who was brilliant and made the whole process very easy.
