The vintage amplifiers catch your eye first when you step into Monochrome Black, our acoustic haven where serious musicians come to capture something special. We've built this space around a 32-track solid state digital recording setup, combining modern precision with the warmth of vintage equipment that includes classic microphones and a full drum kit ready for your session. Seven people can work comfortably here, making it the perfect size for band recordings, film scoring sessions, or intimate production meetings. The brilliant natural reverb we get from these white walls and industrial ceiling has become something of a signature sound, artists tell us they can't replicate it anywhere else. Our technical capabilities run deep, from music and film pre-production through to the final mix, we handle foley recording, dubbing, mixing and mastering with equal care. The minimalist aesthetic serves a purpose beyond looks. Those stark surfaces become acoustic reflectors that enhance rather than muddy your sound, while the open layout lets you position musicians exactly where the room sounds best. We've watched jazz trios find their sweet spot near the corner, electronic producers set up their gear in the center, and voice artists discover the perfect recording position by the far wall. Post-production work flows naturally here too. We offer CD and DVD authoring, DCP creation for cinema distribution, and professional MP3 and MP4 encoding that maintains the quality you've worked hard to achieve. Blu Ray capabilities are coming soon to complete our digital delivery options. Your team can reach us easily from both Aldgate East and Whitechapel stations, each just minutes away on foot. The Whitechapel location puts you between the creative energy of Brick Lane and the business district, ideal for production teams coming from different parts of London.
