The Underglobe Step through our private riverside entrance and you'll understand why event planners keep coming back to this space beneath Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. That full-sized oak tree stops everyone in their tracks, its branches stretching up towards the high ceiling while our sweeping staircase curves around it, creating natural flow for your 350 seated guests or up to 450 for standing receptions. We've hosted everything here, from corporate galas where CEOs delivered keynote speeches on our built-in stage to wedding receptions where couples shared their first dance on the black and white tiled floor. The projection mapping system transforms the walls into whatever backdrop you envision, whether that's an enchanted forest for a midsummer celebration or sleek graphics for a product launch. Our mezzanine level works brilliantly for arrival drinks, giving your guests a bird's eye view of the space before they descend the staircase. Round tables fill the main floor for banquets, each one positioned so everyone can see the stage clearly. The theatrical lighting rigs above mean we can shift the mood from bright networking energy to intimate dining ambiance with a few adjustments. Working with our in-house catering team, you'll taste seasonal British ingredients prepared by Executive Chef Cedric Tourainne. We source from local producers who share our commitment to quality. The private bar keeps drinks flowing throughout your event, staffed by our team who know exactly when to circulate with champagne or hold back during speeches. Cannon Street station sits just across the river, making arrival straightforward for guests coming from the City or further afield. The lift ensures everyone can access the space comfortably, and our events team coordinates every detail from your first site visit through to the final toast.
