Through the heavy wooden doors and up the stairs of our historic pub, you'll find the Upstairs Dining Room, where City workers have been celebrating since Victorian times. This private space combines the character of a 150-year-old Bishopsgate institution with everything you need for a proper party. Dark wood paneling runs along the walls, punctuated by large windows that flood the room with daylight and offer views across to Liverpool Street Station. Original chandeliers hang from the ceiling, their warm light picking out the historical photographs and framed artwork that tell the story of Petticoat Lane and Spitalfields traders who've drunk here for generations. The mix of classic wooden tables and leather armchairs means your guests can move between formal dining and relaxed conversation as the evening progresses. We've set up the room to handle different party styles comfortably. For milestone birthdays or anniversary dinners, we can arrange tables for up to 60 seated guests. Corporate celebrations and standing receptions work brilliantly here too, with space for 120 people to mingle around the fully serviced private bar. Your own dedicated bar staff will pour everything from our specialist cask ales to classic cocktails, while private toilets mean your party stays self-contained. Our kitchen sends up proper British food throughout your event, with seasonal menus featuring our famous pies and Sunday roasts that have kept locals coming back. The projector and screen come in handy for speeches or photo slideshows, while complimentary Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected. Being right across from Liverpool Street Station, your guests step off their trains and straight into the celebration.
