The first thing that hits you when you descend into the Pump Room is that neon "THIRSTY" sign glowing above the bar, setting the tone for what's to come. We've tucked this space beneath Maya's main floor, creating Manchester's answer to those underground lounges you'd find in New York or Berlin, complete with exposed brick walls and moody lighting that transforms throughout the night. We built this room for proper parties. The dedicated dance floor sits right next to our DJ booth, where the sound system delivers crystal-clear beats whether you're hosting 35 colleagues for drinks or packing in 55 friends for a birthday bash. Those plush seats scattered around? Perfect for when you need a breather between songs, strategically placed so conversations can flow as easily as the drinks from our fully-stocked bar. The beauty of the Pump Room lies in its flexibility. Corporate drinks at 6pm can seamlessly evolve into dancing at midnight, thanks to our 5am licence (extensions available when you really want to go for it). Our air conditioning keeps things comfortable even when the dance floor heats up, and the acoustics mean you can actually hear each other talk in the seating areas while the music pumps elsewhere. Being practically on top of Piccadilly Station makes logistics simple for your guests, with paid parking nearby for those driving. Our events team handles everything from initial planning through to the last song, working with our kitchen upstairs to sort catering that goes beyond basic party food. The PA system and WiFi are properly sorted for any presentations or speeches, though most nights they're drowned out by celebration. This is where Manchester comes to mark milestones, from engagement parties to company wins, in a space that feels exclusive without being stuffy.
