The Department of Imagination sits on the second floor of our transformed Bristol building, where the old M&S once stood on Broadmead. This expansive space brings together 400 guests for standing receptions or seats 300 comfortably for dinner parties, with white walls that act as your blank canvas and natural light pouring through multiple windows throughout the day. We've designed the room with flexibility at its core. Those evenly spaced columns actually help when you want to create different zones for your celebration, and we can partition the entire space when you need separate areas for dining and dancing, or quiet conversations away from the main party. Modern overhead lighting works alongside the daylight to keep the atmosphere bright and welcoming, while the minimalist design means your decorations and theme take centre stage. Our technical setup includes projectors and audio speakers positioned throughout, plus changing rooms backstage for any performers or entertainers you bring in. We've scattered comfortable seating areas with sofas and chairs around the edges, creating natural gathering spots where guests can catch up between activities. The space handles everything from milestone birthdays to charity fundraisers, corporate celebrations to community gatherings. Being right in central Bristol, just moments from major transport links at 78 Broadmead, your guests find us easily.
