Polished Canadian maple gleams beneath your feet as you enter the Assembly Hall, where generations of couples have celebrated their wedding day. This magnificent Art Deco space spans the heart of our Grade II listed building, with soaring ceilings that frame one of Europe's largest working mirror balls, a feature that transforms evening receptions into something truly magical. We've watched countless wedding parties gasp when they first see the hall dressed for their celebration. The sprung dance floor, polished to such perfection that couples often pause to admire their reflection, accommodates up to 550 guests for drinks receptions. When configured for dining, we can seat 300 guests at round tables on the main floor, with an additional 80 guests enjoying the unique perspective from our fixed balcony seating, where they can watch the celebrations unfold below. The stage serves as a natural focal point for your ceremony or entertainment. Professional lighting rigs illuminate your first dance, while the elegant curtains frame musicians or speakers perfectly. Tall windows flood the space with natural light during afternoon ceremonies, their Art Deco detailing casting geometric patterns across the maple floor. As evening approaches, our lighting system transforms the atmosphere, with that spectacular mirror ball sending thousands of light fragments dancing across your guests.
