We've hosted everything from intimate wedding ceremonies to corporate strategy sessions in this remarkable space, and each event brings out different qualities of the room's character. The original tapestries that give our room its name create an atmosphere you won't find elsewhere. Combined with the ornate fireplace and decorative ceiling work, they provide a backdrop that photographers love and guests remember. At 10.96 meters long and 6.71 meters wide, with impressive 5.49-meter ceilings, the space feels both grand and welcoming. We can arrange seating for up to 65 people theatre-style, though most parties prefer our cabaret or dinner dance layouts that encourage conversation. The large plasma screen blends surprisingly well with the historical features when needed for presentations or photo slideshows. Natural light pours through the windows overlooking our parkland grounds, though the gold finishes create their own warm glow as evening approaches. The Tapestry Room connects directly to both the Library and Salon, giving your celebration room to breathe. Many couples use this flow for their drinks reception, while corporate groups appreciate having breakout spaces nearby. Our location in Abbots Leigh means you're away from city noise but still easily reached from Bristol's transport links. Berry Blue, our catering team, serves everything from champagne and canapés to full dinner service right here in the room. The historical setting doesn't limit modern possibilities - we've arranged casino tables beside the tapestries, set up photo booths near the fireplace, and even hosted murder mystery dinners where the room's atmosphere added perfect drama.
