Standing beneath the original chandelier in our Blue Lounge, you'll understand why so many couples choose this room for their ceremonies. The ornate Victorian cornicing frames the space beautifully, while the large bay window draws your eye to the walled garden beyond, creating a natural focal point that photographers particularly love. We've arranged the room to accommodate up to 50 guests for seated dining, with plush chairs and elegant table settings that work equally well for wedding breakfasts or celebration dinners. When combined with our adjoining Boardroom, the space flows seamlessly for larger gatherings. The fireplace serves as a stunning backdrop for ceremonies, with many couples exchanging vows right in front of its original mantelpiece. Natural light pours through the bay window throughout the day, changing the room's character as the hours pass. Morning ceremonies benefit from soft eastern light, while afternoon celebrations catch the warm glow that highlights the room's carefully chosen furnishings and fresh floral arrangements. The warm tones we've selected for the decor complement the Victorian features without overwhelming them. For evening celebrations, the chandelier creates intimate pools of light, transforming the space into something more intimate and romantic. We often see wedding parties spilling out into the adjoining areas, making use of the flexible layout that allows guests to move naturally between spaces. Getting here couldn't be simpler, we're just 15 minutes from Manchester city centre and the airport, with easy access to public transport links. Our location in Didsbury Village means your guests can explore the local area before or after your celebration, with plenty of accommodation available in our 27 individually designed bedrooms.
