The Ballroom commands attention from the moment you enter, its gilded vaulted ceiling soaring above as it has done for nearly three centuries. We've hosted everything from society weddings to corporate galas in this space, and the 18th-century neoclassical details never fail to impress, particularly when evening light catches the gold leaf detailing. Round tables dressed in crisp white linens fill the room during banquets, with our signature gold chairs complementing the warm tones of the original features. We can seat 150 for a formal dinner, arrange 150 chairs theatre-style for presentations, or welcome up to 200 guests for cocktail receptions. The minstrel galleries above provide a dramatic setting for string quartets or jazz bands, their music floating down to guests below. Our events team knows every corner of this room, from where to position the cake for the best photographs to how the acoustics work for speeches. The adjoining Long Gallery serves perfectly for arrival drinks or registration, with views over our Courtyard creating a lovely flow between spaces. We've installed air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, though most guests are too captivated by the period architecture to check their phones. The vaulted ceiling creates remarkable acoustics, whether for a CEO's annual address or a best man's speech. Audio-visual equipment can be arranged through our team, who understand exactly where to position screens without detracting from the architectural features. Natural light streams through during daytime events, while evenings see the room transformed by candlelight and the glow from the original fixtures. From Fitzmaurice Place, it's a quick walk to Green Park and Bond Street stations, making arrivals straightforward for guests coming from across London. The Ballroom has witnessed countless celebrations over the decades, each adding to the stories held within these historic walls.
