The Main Area's exposed brick and stone walls create an atmosphere that transforms throughout the day, from morning light streaming through the windows during corporate presentations to the warm glow of evening celebrations. We've hosted everything here, from 200-person theatre-style conferences to intimate wedding dinners for 100, and the space adapts beautifully to each occasion. Our rustic wooden bar becomes the heart of evening events, where guests naturally gather as bartenders serve drinks until our 1 AM closing time. The original stonework provides a stunning backdrop that photographers particularly love, while the wooden accents and carefully chosen lighting fixtures add warmth without overwhelming the space's natural character. For corporate events, we can arrange the room in multiple configurations: classroom style for 80, U-shaped or cabaret for 60, or boardroom for focused discussions. The space accommodates presentations brilliantly, with our AV equipment complementing rather than competing with the textured walls. During social events, we open up the full floor for 130 standing guests, creating natural flow between the bar area and conversation spots. The versatility extends to dining arrangements too. We seat 100 comfortably for banquet-style meals, where our in-house catering team serves everything from sharing platters to formal three-course dinners. The coffee station keeps morning meetings energised, while the private smoking area means guests can step out without leaving the venue entirely. Being moments from Charing Cross means excellent transport links, making arrival straightforward whether guests come by train, bus or car. We've arranged live music performances that resonate wonderfully off the stone walls, and singers who've performed here often comment on the room's natural acoustics.
