The Playroom sits tucked away in our basement, where neon lights wash the glossy tiled walls in warm amber and pink hues. We've watched countless teams transform here, from stiff morning arrivals to animated groups clustered around our games tables by evening, drinks in hand from the bar that anchors one corner of the room. This space works differently from our other rooms. We can arrange it for 52 people in theatre style when you need everyone facing forward, or create a more intimate boardroom setup for 34. The cabaret configuration seats 24 comfortably around tables, though most groups prefer the energy of our standing reception layout, which accommodates up to 100 guests. The black leather sofas with their scatter cushions create natural breakout zones between the wooden chairs, giving people somewhere to retreat for quieter conversations. Our events team particularly enjoys working with groups in the Playroom because the space itself does half the work. The neon installations cast everyone in flattering light, while the artwork dotted around provides natural conversation starters. We position the games tables strategically, creating focal points that draw people together. The pendant lights above the bar area add just enough sophistication to balance the playful atmosphere. For team socials and away days, we often see groups start with presentations using our AV setup, then gradually spread out as the day progresses. Christmas parties here have become something of a tradition for several companies who return each year. Panel discussions work surprisingly well too, with the relaxed setting helping speakers and audience connect more naturally. The Crossharbour DLR station is a three-minute walk away, connecting to Bank in 15 minutes. Most groups find the basement location adds to the sense of stepping away from the everyday, creating the right mindset for creative thinking and team bonding.
