MacMillan Hall offers one of central London's most impressive flat-floor event spaces, where the original 1936 parquet flooring stretches beneath soaring ceilings to create an atmosphere of understated grandeur. When you first enter, your eye is drawn to two remarkable commemorative mirrors honouring the Chancellorships of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother (1955-1980) and HRH the Princess Royal (from 1981), lending genuine historical significance to your celebration. We've hosted everything from intimate wedding ceremonies to grand banquets here, with the hall comfortably seating 130 for dining or welcoming up to 300 guests for standing receptions. The generous proportions mean corporate events work beautifully too, whether you're planning a conference for 220 in theatre style, a training session for 150 in classroom layout, or a boardroom meeting for 70. Natural light pours through the high windows during daytime events, while our programmable lighting system transforms the space for evening occasions. The warm honey tones of the original wood flooring create an inviting backdrop for any event styling, and period fixtures along the walls add authentic Art Deco character. We're particularly proud of our professional kitchen facilities adjacent to the hall, which means our catering partners can deliver hot food promptly and efficiently, whether you're hosting a formal three-course dinner or contemporary bowl food reception.
