Below the cobblestones of Bethnal Green Road, Down the Well transforms what was once the pub's cellars into our most talked-about party space. The exposed brick walls tell stories of the building's 200-year history, while the original beamed ceiling creates an instantly intimate feel that gets every gathering off to the right start. We've kept the character that makes this basement special, from the eclectic Victorian tiles underfoot to the warm glow of our carefully placed lighting. The space works brilliantly for groups, with leather bar stools lining our dedicated cocktail bar and tucked-away booths where your guests can settle in for proper conversations. For standing receptions, we can host up to 60 people comfortably, or seat 40 for dinner parties where everyone needs a proper place at the table.
