Step into our Courtroom Bar, where the original judge's bench from 1905 now serves as a marble-clad cocktail bar, complete with the very oak panelling that once witnessed countless legal proceedings. We've preserved the gravitas of this former magistrates' courtroom whilst transforming it into an intimate venue that accommodates up to 60 guests for standing receptions or 25 for cabaret-style seating. The restored Edwardian bay window floods the space with natural light during daytime events, highlighting the rich wood tones and our collection of historical mugshots that line the walls, each telling its own story from the building's judicial past. Come evening, our statement chandelier and contemporary lighting create an atmospheric glow over the velvet chairs and leather banquettes we've carefully chosen for both comfort and style. Our sunken bar has become quite the talking point, not just for its unusual placement in the former judge's position, but for the cocktails our bartenders craft there. The Espresso Martini, made with our own Shakedown Coffee roasted in-house, has become something of a signature, though our full cocktail menu offers plenty to explore during your event. Just a short walk from London Bridge Station, the Courtroom Bar works brilliantly for corporate gatherings, engagement parties, and birthday celebrations alike. The high ceilings give the space an airy feel despite its intimate size, whilst the mix of historical details and modern touches creates conversation starters at every turn. Previous guests have particularly appreciated the room's character and atmosphere, noting that whilst they found good value overall, the unique setting truly made their events memorable. We find the combination of accessibility, history, and our carefully curated cocktail selection makes this one of SE1's more intriguing party venues.
