That shark head on our wall has watched over countless celebrations, becoming something of a legend among our regulars. We're tucked away at 43 Essex Road, a quick stroll from Angel station, where our bright yellow and white storefront catches your eye between the local shops and cafés. Step through our doors and you'll find yourself in what feels like someone's gloriously mismatched living room, where vintage lampshades cast a warm glow over walls decorated with everything from retro sports equipment to that famous shark. The exposed brick mingles with patterned wallpaper, creating cozy corners perfect for those birthday photos or impromptu dance-offs that tend to happen as the night unfolds. We can accommodate up to 90 guests for standing receptions or 50 for seated arrangements, making our whole venue brilliant for milestone birthdays, leaving parties, or those team celebrations that deserve more than a reserved table at the local pub. The mix of high stools and intimate booths means your guests can flow between catching up over cocktails and hitting the makeshift dance floor when their favourite tune comes on. Our Happy Hour runs from 4pm to 9pm Sunday through Friday, with 2-for-1 on all cocktails, plus single spirit mixers at £2.50, beers and wine by the glass at £3 each. Saturdays bring cocktail teapots at £15, which have become legendary conversation starters at hen parties and reunions alike. Behind our well-stocked bar, our bartenders craft drinks with genuine enthusiasm, happy to suggest something new or perfect your usual order. When you book the entire space, they'll keep the drinks flowing and the energy high, whether you're toasting a 30th birthday or celebrating that long-awaited promotion. The music drifts between decades, matching the eclectic décor and keeping everyone from your uni mates to work colleagues on their feet until we close at 3am on weekends.
