Round tables dressed with crisp linens fill Cambridge Cottage's Gallery, where afternoon light streams through tall windows overlooking the Duke's Garden. This former royal residence has witnessed countless celebrations within its walls, and we continue that tradition with weddings that blend historic elegance with the natural beauty of our botanical surroundings. Our Drawing Room welcomes up to 100 seated guests beneath its grand chandelier, where wooden floors gleam and wall sconces cast a warm glow across neutral-toned walls. During ceremonies, couples exchange vows while their loved ones sit surrounded by views of our heritage gardens through those magnificent windows. For larger celebrations, we can accommodate 150 guests for standing receptions, allowing everyone to move freely between our two interconnected spaces. The Gallery offers its own distinct character for wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations. We arrange round tables throughout this light-filled room, each one carefully positioned so your guests can enjoy both their dining companions and the garden views beyond. Those same large windows that brighten your celebration also open directly onto the Duke's Garden, where many couples choose to host their drinks reception among the carefully tended plants and pathways. Cambridge Cottage sits in its own peaceful corner of Kew Gardens, providing privacy for your celebration while keeping you connected to our 326 acres of botanical wonders. The cottage's position means wedding photographers particularly love working here, with the Duke's Garden offering an intimate outdoor space for portraits just steps from your reception. Your guests will find us easily from Kew Gardens station, just a short walk through our historic gates. Once they arrive at Cambridge Cottage, they discover how a former royal residence can transform into the perfect setting for modern celebrations, where every window frames living history and every room tells its own story.
