Four flights down beneath Old Street's constant hum, The Workshop comes alive when the rest of London starts winding down. This underground space at The Star in Shoreditch holds up to 100 party-goers, and we've watched countless nights transform from casual drinks into those stories people tell for years. The brick walls down here have absorbed decades of music, and the neon lights we've installed cast everything in that perfect party glow. Our main stage dominates one end of the room, backed by a PA system that makes DJs grin when they first test it out. We've had everything happen on that stage, from impromptu karaoke battles at 3am to full bands squeezing in for intimate sets. The private bar runs along one wall, backlit shelves showcasing our craft beer collection while our bartenders work their magic with cocktails that fuel the night. Those neon signs above the bar? They've become the backdrop for thousands of party photos. Small tables and plush chairs dot the space, giving people somewhere to catch their breath between songs or plot their next karaoke performance. Getting here couldn't be easier, just a quick walk from Old Street Station means your guests won't struggle to find us. Ground-level access leads to our cargo lift, making load-in simple whether you're bringing DJ equipment or party decorations. The wheelchair-accessible facilities and nearby parking mean everyone can join the celebration. Birthday parties tend to get wild down here, corporate teams shed their office personas, and what starts as "just a few drinks" regularly turns into dawn adventures.
