The grand staircase at 34 Brook Street beckons guests down into our Victorian wonderland, where hundreds of apothecary bottles create a glowing amber backdrop that sets the stage for extraordinary gatherings. Taking over the entire Mr Fogg's Apothecary means your party flows through both our atmospheric main bar and the more intimate Elixir Room, accommodating up to 220 guests across these connected spaces. Our main Apothecary Room centres around the impressive long bar, where vintage bottles filled with mysterious potions catch the warm light from period fixtures overhead. Your guests naturally gravitate here first, watching our bartenders craft theatrical cocktails using unusual ingredients and Victorian techniques. The space opens up beyond the bar into comfortable seating areas, where plush upholstered furniture and antique grandfather clocks create distinct zones for conversation without feeling separated from the energy of the party. Through to the Elixir Room, wooden apothecary cabinets line the walls while three generous booths offer spots for larger groups to settle in together. This adjoining space has its own bar and discreet entrance, giving you flexibility in how you use the venue, whether keeping both rooms buzzing with activity or using one as a quieter retreat space during your event. We've hosted everything from milestone birthdays where guests dress in Victorian attire to corporate parties that break away from typical venue offerings. The curiosities displayed throughout, from framed expedition maps to brass instruments and medicinal paraphernalia, become natural conversation starters. Our PA system handles speeches and background music, while air conditioning keeps the atmosphere comfortable even when the party reaches full swing.
