The Dining Room at Kimpton Charlotte Square Edinburgh brings together Georgian grandeur and contemporary comfort in one of New Town's most characterful spaces. Our oval dining table, crafted from rich wood and surrounded by leather chairs in warm cognac tones, creates an immediate sense of occasion whether you're hosting an executive dinner for 20 or a milestone celebration. Original features tell the story of this historic townhouse - the working fireplace with its carved mantle, crown moulding that frames the ceiling, and tall sash windows overlooking Charlotte Square's tree-lined streets. We've added modern touches where they count: adjustable lighting from our statement chandeliers sets the mood from bright working lunches to intimate evening gatherings, while the discreet plasma screen handles presentations without dominating the room. The adjoining Drawing Room works brilliantly for arrival drinks or coffee breaks, giving your guests space to mingle before sitting down to dinner. Our private pantry connects directly to The Dining Room, so service flows quietly in the background while conversations continue uninterrupted. BABA, our Mediterranean restaurant, creates menus specifically for each event - from working lunches that keep energy high to multi-course dinners paired with Scottish whiskies. For standing receptions, we can accommodate 35 guests comfortably, with the Drawing Room providing natural overflow space. The U-shaped configuration works particularly well for 16-person strategy sessions where everyone needs clear sightlines. Air conditioning keeps the atmosphere comfortable year-round, while natural light from those Georgian windows means daytime events feel bright and energising. You'll find us just off Princes Street, with parking available both on-site and nearby. The castle views from our front steps remind guests they're somewhere special, yet inside feels like your own private Edinburgh residence for the day.
