The Market Cellar sits beneath centuries-old brick vaults, where the original market traders once stored their goods. Today, we've transformed this atmospheric space into one of our most sought-after private dining rooms, complete with the same arched ceilings that have watched over Covent Garden for generations. Step down into the cellar and you'll find yourself in an intimate world away from the crowds above. The long oak table runs the length of the room, surrounded by deep burgundy chairs that guests tend to linger in long after dessert. Warm pendant lights hang from the curved ceiling, creating pools of golden light that make everyone look their best, particularly during evening gatherings. We've kept the décor deliberately simple to let the architecture speak. A collection of vintage wine bottles lines the original stone shelves, remnants from when Davy's merchants first claimed these vaults. The soft cream walls carry just enough of our heritage branding to remind you where you are, without overwhelming the natural character of the space. The Market Cellar works beautifully for wine tastings, where we can guide your group through selections from our merchant cellars. Birthday dinners here feel properly special, with the stone walls creating natural acoustics that contain conversation while letting laughter bounce warmly around the room.
