The Boathouse floats right on the water at Wood Wharf, a proper converted barge that's become one of our favourite party spaces. We're about 10 minutes' walk from Canary Wharf station, moored up where the city meets the Thames. Step aboard and you'll find yourself in a space we've completely transformed. Rich velvet seating in jewel tones runs along the walls, paired with elegant round tables topped with ambient lamps. The framed artwork adds character without trying too hard, while pendant lights and wall sconces create that perfect evening glow when the sun goes down. During daylight hours, the windows flood the space with natural light, and you can watch the water and city life drift by. The open-plan layout means your guests can flow between the bar area and seating naturally, no awkward bottlenecks or cramped corners.
