The Palm Court spreads beneath a magnificent glass ceiling that transforms throughout the day, from morning sunlight filtering through potted palms to evening ambience casting shadows across tufted sofas. We've created this semi-private sanctuary within our historic Bloomsbury hotel as a natural extension of the building's original 1898 grandeur, where towering indoor trees and clusters of wicker chairs create intimate conversation areas within the larger space. Your guests will find themselves in a room that breathes with life, quite literally, as mature palms and tropical plants frame the 3,100 square feet of entertaining space. The glass roof structure, a architectural marvel in its own right, ensures the room never feels enclosed despite accommodating up to 210 guests for standing receptions. We've arranged the furniture in social clusters, combining plush sofas with occasional tables that work beautifully for cocktail parties, drinks receptions, or those essential breakout moments during larger events. Every practical detail has been considered for modern entertaining. Our PA system handles everything from background music to speeches, while the air conditioning keeps the atmosphere comfortable even when the room fills with conversation and laughter. The Wi-Fi runs throughout, and our in-house catering team works from professional kitchen facilities to deliver anything from canapés to full dinner service. We hold an alcohol licence until midnight, and you're welcome to bring your own DJ or curate your own playlist to set exactly the right mood. Russell Square station sits just moments away, with Holborn and Tottenham Court Road equally accessible for guests arriving from different directions.
