The Event Area at Left Bank Leeds transforms every gathering into something extraordinary. We've watched countless celebrations unfold beneath these soaring neo-Gothic arches, where original stained glass windows cast colourful patterns across the stone walls throughout the day. This converted Victorian church space holds up to 350 standing guests or seats 170 for dining, giving you the flexibility to create exactly the atmosphere you're after. Our team strings warm festive lights between the original church pillars, complementing the natural grandeur with a softer glow that works beautifully for evening celebrations. The acoustics in this Grade II* listed building are phenomenal, those high vaulted ceilings carry sound perfectly whether you've booked a live band, DJ, or string quartet. We've installed modern sound equipment and a flatscreen TV that blend seamlessly into the historic architecture, so presentations run smoothly without disrupting the visual impact of the space. The Event Area adapts brilliantly to different styles, from long banquet tables running the length of the nave for wedding breakfasts, to cocktail furniture scattered throughout for birthday parties. Round paper lanterns add warmth to the stone arches, while our flexible lighting lets you shift from bright and celebratory to intimate and atmospheric as your event flows from day into evening. Getting here couldn't be easier, we're just a short walk from Burley Park station, and our ground-level entry means everyone can access the space comfortably. We've made sure wheelchair access extends throughout, with accessible facilities that don't compromise on the building's character. External caterers love working in our space, and we welcome everything from formal three-course dinners to street food pop-ups.
