Walking into our Restaurant at Toklas, the first thing that catches your eye is how sunlight plays across the vintage parquet floors, creating patterns that shift throughout the day. We've watched these restored floors host everything from packed dance floors at 40th birthdays to models strutting during fashion week, and they've held up beautifully through it all. The space wraps around our open kitchen grill, which becomes pure theatre during parties. Your guests gather at the iroko-topped tables or sink into our green leather banquettes, cocktails in hand, watching our chefs flame-grill Mediterranean dishes right before their eyes. We can seat 150 for a formal dinner, but most of our party hosts prefer the energy of 400 guests mingling throughout the space, moving between the bar area hung with Wolfgang Tillmans photographs and the dining room filled with our collection of Børge Mogensen chairs. Our floor-to-ceiling windows connect seamlessly to the terrace, where Miria Harris's planting creates an unexpected garden oasis just steps from the Strand. From May through October, we extend parties outside, where 100 guests can celebrate under our canopies with heaters keeping everyone comfortable as the evening cools. The terrace transforms summer product launches into memorable occasions, while winter sees it become a magical backdrop for wedding receptions. The sliding wall is what makes our space truly flexible. We've used it to create VIP areas during press events, opened it completely for flowing wedding receptions, and configured intimate spaces for milestone birthdays. Our bakery team crafts custom cakes for celebrations, while the bar keeps drinks flowing all night. Being fully licensed for weddings, we handle ceremonies and receptions with equal ease, letting you focus on your guests while we manage every detail from Temple Station pickups to last orders.
