The Lower Floor at SAMA Bankside comes alive when the sun sets and the party lights switch on. We've transformed these Victorian railway arches into a dynamic events space where exposed brick meets bursts of colour from our rotating artwork collection. The reclaimed wooden floors have hosted everything from 30th birthday bashes to corporate summer parties, each event bringing its own energy to the space. Our private bar anchors the room, where bartenders craft cocktails while guests move between the colourful booths and Chesterfield sofas. We can seat 90 for dinner parties or open the floor for 150 guests when the dancing starts. The large windows flood the space with natural light during afternoon events, then frame the city lights as evening celebrations kick into gear. A separate private room connects to the main space, which regulars love using as their VIP area or games room. We've seen it transform into everything from a cocktail masterclass zone to a karaoke booth, depending on what the night calls for. Our professional sound system handles DJ sets brilliantly, with the natural acoustics of the arches creating an intimate club atmosphere. Getting here couldn't be easier, with both Southwark and Blackfriars stations just minutes away. Our kitchen serves up British dishes with Caribbean twists throughout your event, from sharing platters during drinks receptions to late-night snacks when the dance floor heats up. SAMA offers a lovely cosy room on the ground floor. The setting is quirky and unusual. The service was super professional and efficient. All in all, we are super happy.
