The Upper Floor at SUSHINOEN brings together rich wooden furnishings and authentic Japanese design to create an exceptional party space in Aldgate East. Your guests will settle into our traditional sunken floor seating, where low wooden tables and plush red cushions encourage relaxed conversation and shared plates throughout the evening. Natural light streams through our windows during daytime celebrations, while evenings take on an intimate glow that complements the warm wood tones throughout the space. We've decorated with hanging plants against off-white walls, creating a fresh, calming environment that works equally well for milestone birthdays, corporate celebrations, or any gathering where you want something beyond the ordinary pub or restaurant booking. Our Upper Floor accommodates up to 30 guests for seated dining in boardroom or banquet style, with space for 45 if you prefer a standing reception format. The sunken seating arrangement means everyone feels part of the same conversation, rather than spread across separate tables. It's this layout that makes birthday parties feel more personal and team celebrations more cohesive. Throughout your event, our kimono-clad staff serve freshly prepared sushi, sashimi, ramen and bento boxes made to order in our kitchen below.
