The Britannia Suite wraps around the upper floor of our main building, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Thames flowing past Hampton Court Grounds. We've watched countless celebrations unfold in this space, from wedding receptions that spill onto the private terrace at sunset to corporate gatherings where teams bond over the novelty of arriving by boat. The room holds 180 for standing receptions or 120 seated around round tables, with warm wooden floors underfoot and a neutral palette that adapts to whatever vision you bring. Natural light pours through those panoramic windows all day, though we can adjust the atmosphere with dimmable lighting as evening approaches. Your own bar sits ready in the corner, staffed by our team who know exactly when to keep the champagne flowing and when guests need a strong coffee. That terrace becomes its own draw, where pre-dinner drinks happen against the backdrop of swans gliding past and rowing crews training on the river. We've set up the space with everything modern events need: reliable Wi-Fi throughout, a built-in PA system for speeches, projector and screen for presentations, plus teleconferencing facilities when you need to include remote guests. Our kitchen team prepares European-inspired menus in-house, though we're equally happy working with external caterers if you have specific preferences. Dietary requirements never faze us, from halal and kosher to vegan and gluten-free options. The alcohol licence runs until midnight, and yes, you can absolutely bring your own DJ to keep the party going. Getting here involves a short boat ride from our mainland car park near Surbiton station, which adds an element of adventure before guests even step inside. Full wheelchair access ensures everyone can join the celebration on our unique Thames island venue.
