The period fireplace catches your eye first in The Hardy Room, its ornate Victorian details perfectly preserved alongside the warm wooden floors that have hosted countless celebrations. We've kept this space deliberately intimate, with capacity for 40 seated guests or 60 standing, because some occasions deserve a more personal setting. Natural light pours through the large windows that line one wall, illuminating the carefully chosen artwork and rustic wooden furniture we've arranged throughout. The private bar tucked into the corner means your guests won't miss a moment of the party whilst waiting for drinks. We've found this setup works brilliantly for everything from wedding receptions to milestone birthdays, with plenty of room for dancing once the tables are cleared. Our PA system handles everything from background music to full DJ setups, and yes, you're welcome to bring your own DJ to keep the party going into the night. The flatscreen TV and reliable WiFi come in handy for those mixing business with pleasure, though most prefer to focus on the celebrations at hand. Getting here couldn't be easier with Cutty Sark Station just minutes away on foot. Your guests can explore the famous ship itself before joining you, or simply appreciate how simple their journey becomes with such convenient transport links. The Victorian charm of the space, combined with modern amenities like our sound system and bar facilities, creates exactly the right atmosphere for memorable gatherings. We've hosted everything from intimate wedding receptions to surprise birthday parties in here, each event taking advantage of the room's flexibility. Whether you arrange tables for a formal dinner or clear the floor for dancing, The Hardy Room adapts to your vision whilst maintaining its distinctive character and warmth.
