Geometric patterns dance across the walls of The Storey, our semi-private space where 32 guests can gather around a single glowing shuffleboard table. We've carved out this corner of our Grade II listed building to create something more intimate – perfect when your group wants their own territory without losing the energy of the main venue. The shuffleboard table takes centre stage here, its surface catching the soft overhead lighting while cameras track every puck movement. Your scores appear instantly on the screen mounted above, so there's no scribbling on paper or disputes about who's winning. Bar stools line the playing area, letting half your group compete while the others perch with drinks, offering commentary and waiting their turn. Our bartenders keep The Storey well-supplied with rounds of cocktails and cold beers, while the kitchen sends over paddle board pizzas that disappear remarkably quickly during competitive games. Small plates arrive throughout your booking, timed so nobody's trying to play on an empty stomach. The exposed ductwork overhead and original brick peek through the contemporary fit-out, creating that contrast between Leeds' industrial past and our modern setup. Birthday groups often book The Storey when they want something cosier than our main space, while work teams use it for more focused competitions where everyone can hear the banter. The framed artwork and playful wall designs give the space its own character, distinct from the larger venue but with the same attention to detail. Just off The Headrow and minutes from Leeds station, The Storey works brilliantly as either your main event or part of a bigger night out.
