Through a hidden bookcase on our lower ground floor, you'll discover Resistance, where exposed brickwork meets velvet-upholstered booths in what we call our "bunker room". We've kept the original industrial elements, vintage dials on the walls, weathered pipes overhead, while adding deep burgundy seating that wraps around dark wooden tables. The chandelier hanging from the ceiling creates an unexpected contrast against the raw concrete, throwing patterns across the patterned carpet that ties the whole room together. The space works brilliantly for groups up to 30 people who want something different from the usual hotel meeting room. We've had product launches here where the secretive entrance became part of the reveal, birthday parties where guests loved the speakeasy feel, and creative workshops where the unusual setting sparked fresh ideas. The projector blends into the industrial aesthetic when not in use, and our PA system handles everything from background music to presentations without disrupting the room's character. What makes Resistance particularly popular for evening events is how the lighting transforms the space. Those industrial fixtures create pockets of warm light around each booth, while the chandelier provides just enough brightness for mingling. Our alcohol license runs until 1:00 AM, and we can arrange catering that matches the room's personality, from sharing platters to themed cocktails. The Wi-Fi handles multiple devices without issue, important when you're hosting tech demos or social media-heavy launches. Getting here is straightforward, we're 0.7 miles from Nottingham Station in the Lace Market district, with parking arrangements at the Lace Market Car Park just 0.2 miles away.
