The vintage sofas and antique mirrors at Brown & Bye Restaurant & Bar create an atmosphere that feels like stepping into your own private harbourside retreat. We've furnished this space with carefully chosen pieces, plush leather seating mixed with rustic wooden tables, that give each gathering its own character while those harbour views of the SS Great Britain remind everyone they're somewhere special. Our room accommodates up to 45 guests for reception-style parties or 40 for seated celebrations, with a layout that naturally divides into The Wine Bar, Main Lounge Bar, and Projection Suite. Each area has its own entrance and outdoor terrace, which means your party can flow between spaces as the mood takes you. During summer evenings, guests often start with cocktails on the terrace watching boats pass by, then move inside as the harbourside lights begin to twinkle. We've hosted countless celebrations here, from milestone birthdays where the projection suite screens favourite memories, to engagement parties that spill out onto the waterside terraces. The ornate mirrors and soft ambient lighting create that intimate feel even when the room is buzzing with conversation. Our bar team keeps the drinks flowing with handcrafted cocktails, carefully selected wines, and local craft beers on tap. The flexibility of the space really comes into its own during events. Some groups use the different areas to create distinct atmospheres throughout the evening, perhaps starting with canapés in the Wine Bar before moving to the Main Lounge for dinner. The large windows frame the harbour beautifully, providing a backdrop that changes from bright afternoon reflections to evening lights on the water. Getting your guests here is simple with road, rail and ferry connections nearby, plus parking close by. Once they arrive at Brunel Quay, they'll find a space that transforms any celebration into something memorable.
