The Grand Ballroom lives up to its name, transforming from morning conference to evening gala with remarkable ease. This 360 square metre space draws you in with those floor-to-ceiling windows that run the entire length of the room, framing the Calatrava Bridge and River Irwell like a living artwork. When the afternoon light catches the water, our guests often pause mid-conversation just to take in the view. We've hosted everything here, from black-tie charity dinners for 280 to cocktail receptions where 600 guests mingle freely between the bar and dance floor. The automatic blinds give you complete control over the atmosphere, whether you want full daylight for a product launch or something more intimate for an anniversary celebration. Our touch-screen AV system means no fumbling with remotes during speeches, and the sound carries beautifully to every corner, even when the room's at full capacity. The neutral palette works like a blank canvas for your decorators. We've seen it dressed in deep burgundy for winter weddings, transformed with tropical flowers for summer parties, and kept sleek with monochrome styling for corporate awards. Those ceiling fixtures adjust from bright working light to gentle amber for dinner dancing, and yes, we've had plenty of both.
