Our Cinema transforms from a traditional screening room into Birmingham's most distinctive party venue, where 150 plush red seats face a massive screen backed by our Barco laser projector. We've hosted everything from film-themed birthday celebrations to corporate launch parties, with guests either settling into the tiered seating for presentations or clearing the front space for mingling and dancing. The room's 7.1 surround sound system means your party playlist hits differently here, whether you're screening personal video messages during a milestone birthday or projecting visuals for a themed celebration. We regularly see groups use the cinema for quiz nights, with teams spread across the auditorium and questions displayed on the big screen, or for gaming parties where the latest releases become larger-than-life experiences. The dark walls and focused lighting create an instant atmosphere, particularly effective for evening celebrations. Our technical team can adjust the mood lighting between segments of your event, shifting from bright and social to dim and dramatic as needed. Many party organisers love combining the cinema with our KILN café and bar, starting with drinks and canapés before moving into the screening room for the main event. Being part of MAC means your guests experience the creative buzz of our working arts centre, perhaps catching glimpses of rehearsals or exhibitions as they move through the building.
