The Kanagaki Suite sits above the bustle of our main dining room, a calm retreat where Bath's business community gathers for working lunches and training days transform into sake-fueled celebrations by evening. We've watched this versatile space host everything from board meetings to 40th birthday parties, each group making use of the room's flexible layout in their own way. Step through the door and you'll find our private cocktail bar running along one wall, stocked with the same 30-plus sake selection and rare Japanese whiskies we pour downstairs. The banquette seating hugs the opposite side, while the central floor space adapts to whatever your event needs - boardroom setup for 12, theatre style for 40, or clear the tables entirely for 50 guests mingling with drinks in hand. Those black and white manga panels on the walls aren't just decoration; we hand-selected each piece to tell stories of Japanese culture and cuisine. The artwork creates talking points during coffee breaks and adds character without overwhelming the space. Soft lighting keeps things professional during afternoon presentations, then dims for evening atmosphere when the cocktails start flowing. George Street puts you right in Bath's centre, with the train station a 10-minute walk and Queen Square car park just around the corner. We know timing matters for business events, so our kitchen can work around your schedule - breakfast meetings, working lunches, or full Yakiniku feasts cooked on our robata grill downstairs.
