The Southbound Platform transports you beneath street level into our secret wartime world, where 25 to 70 guests can gather among the switches, dials and vintage machinery that line these subterranean walls. We've preserved every industrial detail from the 1940s, from the working voltage gauges to the spinning cogs that catch the light as your party unfolds. Behind our bar, vintage suitcases stack high beneath the "Days Since Last Accident" sign, a playful nod to the underground station aesthetic we've recreated here. Your guests can perch on high stools while our bartenders mix cocktails from wartime-inspired recipes, or settle into the patterned upholstery of our booth seating tucked under railway arches. Each corner reveals another piece of authentic period detail, from danger-marked levers to brass switchboards that once controlled real machinery. Fringed lamps and warm spotlights pick out the industrial textures, creating pockets of atmosphere perfect for conversation or celebration. Despite the vintage surroundings, we've equipped the space with everything modern events require: reliable Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected, our PA system handles speeches or background music, and the air conditioning ensures comfort even when the dance floor fills up. The flatscreen TV discretely mounted among the period features can display presentations or party visuals. Just moments from Oxford Circus Station, your guests can easily find us before descending into this atmospheric hideaway. Our kitchen serves the same British pub classics available upstairs, delivered directly to your private space.
