When you book the Whole Venue at St Ethelburga's, you're taking over two extraordinary spaces that couldn't be more different, yet somehow complement each other perfectly. The medieval Nave with its soaring 14th-century arches hosts up to 200 guests for standing receptions or 90 seated, while our handwoven Bedouin Tent creates an intimate hideaway in the garden courtyard. The Nave tells its own story through original stonework that survived the 1993 bombing, now paired with sleek contemporary additions. Coloured light streams through the stained-glass window during afternoon events, creating patterns across the stone floor that shift as the day progresses. We've equipped the space with everything you need, WiFi, built-in projector, professional sound system, so bands can plug straight in for concerts, or presenters can connect laptops without fussing with cables. The kitchen opens directly onto the main space, whether you're bringing your own caterers or using our recommended suppliers. Through the courtyard, our Bedouin Tent offers something completely unexpected in central London. Saudi craftspeople wove the traditional goat's hair covering for this heated 16-sided structure, where cushioned benches circle the interior. Previous hosts have thrown everything from 50th birthday parties to product launches here, with guests consistently mentioning how the space transforms their event into something special. Great Venue, lovely location. Absolutely horrible communication from the owner/s. Very unnecessary follow-ups and as a result, very disappointed!
